My City of Ember Revew Do you ever wonder what its like to live underground, or have a job at the age of twelve? Well this book has all that and could be the next book for you. The City of Ember writen by Jeanne Duprau is a very fun and exiting fantisy book.
In this book Lina Mayfleet twelve and Doon Harrow also twelve get there first job on assignment day. Lina is assigned the worst job, but luckily Doon wants to trade for the job Lina wants.
Doon and Lina latter in the book discover that there city is deing and the one they rely on most is cheating them. But Lina finds a box wich could change everything.
When the day of singing comes something spectacular happens. The lights go out. It was a black out just long enough for Lina to escape from something.
Jeanne Duprau started writing books at age six. She wrote the City of Ember, the People of Sparks, the Prophet of yonwood, Diamond of Darkhold, the Car Trouble Novel, Cells, and Cloning.
